Some people who want to lose weight physically are just not willing to do what it takes to lose it. Every diet will work, not every dieter will. An effective diet, weather it be physical, emotional or spiritual is a matter of choices. Deciding what to eliminate in order to gain what you desire to lose is the key objective.
Life is about choices. Choosing to invest your time, effort and resources into fewer activities is difficult, but essential in order to live free from the weightiness of life. You can loss major emotional weight, stress, worry and by limiting yourself to highly effective and productive activities. Fewer activities produce greater opportunities. Here are four key focuses to a healthy life diet:
- Faith – Every second of life is based on faith. I am limited in my knowledge, so I pursue knowledge by faith, make decision by faith, choose relationships by faith, live, move and have my being simply by faith. Who and what I base my faith in is the key to the course my life will take. Proverbs 30:5 “Every word of God is perfect.” One thing is perfect in life. God´s word is the foundation of my faith.
- Family – There are billions of people occupying the globe. The people most important to me are those closest to me. I invest time, instruction, effort and resources in to those I love the most. “If a man doesn’t know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?” 1Timothy 3:5 I am the head of my family and the priest of my home. I am a man.
- Finances – Money is a resource that tests a man´s character and reveals a man´s priority. How I sow, invest, earn and spend money is with the highest level of integrity. The way I administer physical cents reveals my spiritual sense. Always be honest, integral and truthful to God, self and others about how money if administered. “A generous person will be made rich, and whoever satisfies others will himself be satisfied.” Proverbs 11:25
- Fitness – People invest into the kingdom they believe they belong to. “You were bought for a price. So bring glory to God in the way you use your body.” 1 Corinthians 6:20 All of our physical efforts reflect our spiritual understanding. A spiritual fit man invests His life in God. A mentally fit man controls his thoughts. A physically fit man cares for his health. A long, productive life requires fitness.
